Hi! I am Marie Axen, a Speech and Language Pathologist
based in Northern Westchester, New York.
I am a certified member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) with a BS from New York University and an MS from Northeastern University in Speech-Language Pathology. I am licensed in New York and Connecticut and have a NY State teacher license (TSSLD). Additionally, I instruct and supervise graduate students in Brooklyn College's Department of Communication Arts, Sciences, and Disorders and Education Department. With over a decade of experience working with clients from 3k through high school, I specialize in language and literacy development in school-aged children. As a mother of two, I possess a profound understanding of the immense challenges and responsibilities that come with parenthood, allowing me to empathize deeply with the joys and struggles that parents and caregivers experience firsthand.
